Andrew started his apprenticeship at Conspiracy Tattoo in 2022 and has been part of the shop ever since. He is currently putting most of his time into traditional tattooing, while also enjoying pop culture, cartoon and watercolour-inspired work.

Traditional and pop culture designs are a particularly good fit because they give Andrew room to put his own spin on the artwork. He enjoys using colour and is interested in projects ranging from palm-sized tattoos through to larger-scale work.

Andrew works best with clients who have a clear idea of what they want and can send through reference images that show the direction they like. Some creative freedom helps him develop the design into something that works well as a tattoo and still feels like his work.

For larger projects, Andrew uses consultations to work through the finer details and give the client a clearer idea of the direction before the tattoo goes ahead. He believes customer service is just as important as the tattoo itself, and that the best results come from making sure he and the client are on the same page.
